Principal's Message
 Welcome Students, Parents and Community of Patrick Henry Middle School:As a high performing Middle School we are committed to provide an environment in which all students can learn the skills necessary to become caring, creative and productive individuals of our society. We know that you would like to see your child in a nurturing environment which promotes learning as a lifelong process which enables them to be an educated, confident, self-directed, positive member of an ever-changing global society. Our goal is to facilitate the transition of each student from the middle school to high school. The middle school, which serves emerging adolescents with their unique needs, strives to provide each student with opportunities to discover and develop interests and capabilities in the areas of academics, careers, and life skills. Through their education at Patrick Henry Middle School, our students will gain the skills, strategies, and desire necessary for continued learning. They will also develop a strong sense of responsibility for themselves and toward each other, their community, and the earth’s resources. To this end, our faculty and staff have created a rich multicultural environment for learning; have designed an integrated curriculum with strong technology, science, language arts, and social studies components; have provided for students to become self-directed learners; and they share their enthusiasm for learning, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation. We believe that all learners must become effective communicators who will use verbal, written, artistic and technological forms of communication to give, send, and receive information. We also believe that all children can and will learn. To ensure that all children will reach their potential we maintain high expectations and promote academic excellence for all students. We have created and support a school environment in which all children and adults feel welcomed, respected, trusted, and an important part of the school. We have developed an environment where we can learn together and support each other. We have adopted a schoolwide commitment to a character program emphasizing trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. We have and will continue to foster a positive school climate of a caring community which respects and values diversity and nurtures everyone’s self-esteem.
