Physical Education Department
A major emphasis in PE at Patrick Henry MS is to help students
understand and master the 6 principles of TORRCH. These principles/characteristics
are similar to and support the school's emphasis on "Character Counts."
One of your students' first major assignments is to turn in the "TORRCH"
paper. Be looking for it!
"T" - Trust
Placing confidence or faith in another person or thing.
"O" - Openness
A willingness to consider and to try new or different ideas and activities and to include all students.
"R" - Respect
To treat others (parents, teacher, students, adults) with consideration and honor.
"R" - Responsibility
To be accountable for your time, belongings, and actions.
"C" - Communication
The ability to give clear positive information by talking, reading, signing,
or writing; good communication includes both expressing and understanding.
"H" - Honesty
Following all the rules and telling the truth, regardless of the outcome or consequences.
